AutoCamp: Bad for Bear Mountain. Bad for Sedona. Bad for Yavapai County.

AutoCamp would forever change the face of Bear Mountain. Help us STOP AutoCamp.

AutoCamp, a California developer backed by over $100 million in private equity, is trying to build an 18-acre commercial lodging/resort development consisting of 100 camping units (85 airstream trailers, 10 huts, 5 tents), a clubhouse and other amenities at the base of Bear Mountain.

Moving forward with the AutoCamp development will put Bear Mountain and our community at risk.

Official position of the City of Sedona on AutoCamp

“Based on the information provided about the AutoCamp project, the Council believes that the requested change is not substantiated, does not support a shared vision for this area, nor is it appropriate in this particular location due to the sensitive surrounding wilderness environment and lack of adequate infrastructure and services for guests.”
